The Monmouth College women's soccer team lost 3-0 at Lake Forest in the Midwest Conference opener on Saturday. The Scots are now 3-6 overall, 0-1 in MWC play.
The Foresters got on the board in the 39th minute to break the scoreless tie. The Scots didn't have a shot on goal in the first half and went to the break, trailing 1-0.Â
Lake Forest doubled their lead in the 61st minute. In the 75th minute the hosts took a 3-0 lead and neither team scored over the final 15 minutes of the game.Â

The Scots are next in action at 4:30 p.m. at Knox on Tuesday. They will host Ripon College on Saturday with a 1 pm kickoff at Peacock Park.Â
