The Monmouth College women's soccer team fell 2-0 at Knox College on Tuesday. The Scots are now 3-7-2 on the season, 0-2 in MWC play.
Knox scored the opening goal just 10:14 into the match, with a shot from close range. Their second goal was from distance, as it sailed over the head of
Lea Selquist (Peru, Illinois) and into the net just nine minutes later. Neither team scored over the last 70 minutes of the contest.
Knox outshot the Scots 10-5 while both goalkeepers made two saves. The Scots got shots on goal from
Madison Walker (Vernon Hills, Illinois) and Elilzabeth Schmidt (Waverly, Iowa). The Scots will host Ripon on Saturday with a 1:30 p.m. kickoff, following the men's game against Ripon.
