With the spring semester beginning in remote learning, all Monmouth College athletics events for the week of January 11-16 have been postponed.

The impacted contests include two basketball double headers, a swim meet and the first indoor track and field meet of the season. The Midwest Conference Athletic Directors will meet later this week in an attempt to reschedule the basketball games and the swim meet. Since every available weekend already has another track and field meet scheduled, the home meet will not be rescheduled.

The basketball teams were scheduled for a men's/women's home double header against Grinnell on Wednesday night and a road double header at Ripon on Saturday. Both teams are scheduled to play at Cornell on Tuesday, Jan, 18 and host Lawrence on Saturday, Jan. 22. The women are 3-0 and one of two undefeated teams in the conference (Ripon 5-0) while the men sit in sixth place with a 1-2 MWC record.

Saturday's swim meet was a dual against Knox and was scheduled to serve as senior day for both teams. The men and women swimmers are next scheduled to be in the pool at the two-day Grinnell Invitational, beginning on Friday, Jan. 21.

Saturday's Monmouth Midwest invite to kick off the indoor track and field season included Augustana, Carroll, Knox and William Woods competing against the Scots. Monmouth will host the Fighting Scot Invite on Friday, Feb, 11 at 5 p.m. They are next scheduled to be in action at the Snow Bird Invite, hosted by Illinois College on Saturday, Jan. 22.
