The Monmouth College golf teams both competed in the Iowa Wesleyan Tiger Classic on Tuesday. The one-day, one-round event was held at Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course in Fort Madison, Iowa.
The men's team finished third in the event while the women's team played as individuals.
Amanda Stevens (Mason City, Illinois) finished fourth while
Noah Shields (Rantoul, Illinois) was the top individual on the men's team in seventh.
Shields shot a 6-over 78 on the par-72 course, tying for seventh with three others.
Jakob Brokaw (Andalusia, Illinois) was one shot behind Shields as he tied for 11
th with a 79.
Ryan Prusak (Oswego, Illinois) tied for 14
th with an 80 while
Jimmy Johnson (Andalusia, Illinois) tied for 19
th with an 81. The men's winner finished at 1-under with a 71 to win by two strokes.

Stevens shot an 86 to finish in a two-way tie for fourth. The women's winner shot a 76 with second place carding an 80 and third an 84.Â

The men are next in action with a two-day event Oct. 4-5 at the Central Fall Classic at Finkbine Golf Course in Iowa, City, Iowa.
The women's final event of the fall season is the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships starting on Saturday, Oct. 9. The three-day event is hosted by the SLIAC and will take place at The Rail Golf Course in Springfield, Illinois.
