The Monmouth College swimming and diving team snagged the first Midwest Conference Performer of the Year award of the season on Tuesday as senior
Brooke McCormick (Metamora, Illinois) was honored for the women's team.
McCormick helped the Scots to a 177-54 win over Knox on Friday in the first event of the season, winning four events. As an individual, she won the 100-yard butterfly in 1:07.22, won the 100-yard IM in 1:10.47 and won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:55.49. She took the title in the latter event by more than 23 seconds. McCormick also swam the third leg on the winning 200-yard Medley relay to kick off the night.
The Scots are back in the pool Saturday with a 1 p.m. road meet at Augustana College. The next home meet is a multi-team event on Saturday, November 13 at 1 p.m.
