The Monmouth College women's swimming team posted the highest GPA in the nation for any Division III swimming program in the fall with a 3.87 team GPA. The Fighting Scots have been recognized as a Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
"We are proud of the high GPA attained by the members of the swim program," said Director of Athletics Roger Haynes. "It takes great communication and dedication by the coach and athletes to achieve such a high mark."
"This is a huge achievement for our women," said head coach
Jake Dacus. "From early morning practices to late night weekend study sessions they truly embody what it means to be a student-athlete. They had an outstanding fall semester in the pool but this accomplishment puts a huge exclamation point on their semester and I couldn't be more proud of them."
The team had nine student-athletes who competed in the fall semester and contributed to the nation-leading GPA.
