th career win couldn't have come in a more dramatic fashion than Tuesday night's 90-87 overtime win at Illinois College that was 13 lead changes and 13 ties.

Facing the team coached by Steve Schweer, the first assistant Skrivseth hired at Monmouth nine years ago, the Scots trailed 75-72 with time running out but
Trey Swearingen kept Skrivseth's chances for the milestone win alive. The senior drained his sixth 3-pointer of the night, finishing with 20 points to send the game to OT knotted at 75-all.

The Scots took an early lead in OT before the Blueboys rallied for an 82-79 lead with 1:36 to play.
Dee Hyler countered, burying a pair of free throws to cut the margin to 82-81. Four straight free throws followed for the Scots, two from
D.J. Swift and two from Swearingen to stake Monmouth to an 85-82 lead with :54 left on the clock. The Scots took advantage of the line in the final minute with an 8-for-12 effort as
Tyler Houston sank the final 'throw of the night to ice the game for the final score with a second left.

Swearingen, who went 6-for-11 from 3-point range, and Swift paced the Scots with 20 points each.
Justin Batterton added 18 and Hyler 16.

Monmouth, second in the Midwest Conference, returns home to host Lake Forest, No. 3 in the MWC, Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.
