Saturday's trip to Wisconsin didn't end the way the Scots would have liked after St. Norbert posted a 3-1 volleyball win in Monmouth's second match of the Midwest Conference season.
 
The Scots rallied to a 25-18 Set 2 win after dropping a 25-14 decision in the opener. St. Norbert took an early lead in Set 3, winning 25-16, but the Scots kept it close in a 25-21 Set 4 loss. Knotted at 16-all, Riley Cook drilled two of her 13 kills to push Monmouth ahead before the Knights came back, tying the match at 20-20 and then inching ahead for the win.
 
Monmouth opens their home league season Tuesday, hosting Illinois College at 7 p.m.
