Â
Kara-Jade Gordon took the suspense out of the equation early, scoring the only goal the Scots would need in the fourth minute on a feed from
Jordyn Gosell. Gordon added another in the 56

Ezzie Baltierra-Chavez and
Devin Cross. Freshman
Emma Freyermuth got in on the scoring in the 61
st minute, taking a feed from
Sam Koppers and
Yari Aguado to net her first collegiate goal.
Â
Goalkeeper Quin Cutler saw just one shot, and none on goal, to notch her third win against no losses as Monmouth outshot Principia 25-1 and placed 13 shots on frame.
Â
It was the final match for the Scots before opening Midwest Conference play this weekend with a Saturday contest at St. Norbert and a Sunday affair at Beloit.
