The Scots edged perennial power St. Norbert on the Green Knights' home field to take the opener of the Midwest Conference schedule 2-0.
 
Neither team could find the net until Kara-Jade Gordon found the first of her two goals in the 49^th minute. She added an insurance goal three minutes later on a feed from Jordyn Gosell for all the scoring the Scots needed behind a stingy defense that allowed just five shots, and only three on goal as Kensey Arlt notched her fourth win.
