Renee Rude recorded her milestone 1,000
th dig in Monmouth's finale at the Knox Invitational Saturday, a 3-1 win over Iowa Wesleyan. Rude finished the day with 1,004 career digs, helping Monmouth salvage a split for the two-day tournament.

Facing the Tigers in the final match, the Scots roared out to a 25-15 Set 1 win, but dropped the second set by the same score. Monmouth found the juice again in Set 3, winning 25-14 and held off Iowa Wesleyan 25-22 in the fourth set.
Riley Cook slammed 16 kills in the match while hitting a blistering .552.
Megan Gilstrap also got in on the action with an 11-kill effort.

Monmouth fell in the day's opening match, a 3-0 loss to Anderson. The Scots were held to a .143 mark as Anderson took the first two sets by 25-19, 25-20 scores. They rolled past Monmouth in the final set 25-14.

The Scots return to Glennie Gym Tuesday night for a 7 p.m. matchup with Blackburn.
