Monmouth moved to 5-1 in Midwest Conference play, sweeping Beloit Saturday at the Monmouth College Softball Stadium, 6-3 and 10-2.

The Scots plated three runs with two outs in the first inning and got a solid pitching effort from
Cassidy Abbott in the opener.
Laura Dulee's two-run double was the big blow in the opening frame. After the Bucs tied the game at 3-3 in the third, the Scots answered in the fifth when
Kaelan Bradley led off with a triple and came home on
Jessica Pauley's base hit. Monmouth added a pair of sixth-inning insurance runs as Abbott worked out of a leadoff seventh-inning error to log her third win.
Â
Brittney Enos jacked a three-run homer in Game 2 as the Scots took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the second. Monmouth batted around in the third, scoring six times for a 9-1 lead and added a solo run in the fourth on Bradley's sac fly. The scots banged out 14 hits in the inning to back the two-hit pitching of
Hailey Rennick who earned her third win.
