Monmouth outshot Benedictine in the Scots' season finale, but came up on the short end of a 16-11 final.
 
The Scots blasted 52 shots in the game as Croy Seagren's goal at the 12:54 mark of the first quarter put the Scots up on the hosts. Benedictine countered with three unanswered goals and never trailed the rest of the way. Seagren added his second of three goals with 5:09 left in the opening quarter to pull the Scots within one at 3-2 and Kyle Hatfield's score off a Chase Cranford feed a minute later again made it a one-goal margin. Monmouth would get no closer against the Eagles who took a 13-8 lead through three quarters. The teams traded goals in the final 15 minutes as Cranford netted both of his scores in the final five minutes.
 
Monmouth wrapped up the season at 7-9 with the most wins in program history and marking the second consecutive year of increasing the win totals.
