Monmouth climbed back from an early four-goal hole to narrow the gap to three at the half, but couldn't complete the comeback at Augsburg, eventually falling 17-12.

The Auggies raced out to a 4-0 lead in the first seven minutes before
Kara-Jade Gordon scored back-to-back goals on her way to a five-goal game, pulling the Scots within 4-2 midway through the first half.
Kaelin Sommer and Aspen Chadderdron then added two unanswered scores and Sommer added a free position goal with 2:30 left in the first half to pull Monmouth within 7-5. Augsburg found the cage with less than a minute left in the first half to take an 8-5 lead into the break.
Angham Jaradat and
Amanda Green scored back-to-back goals in the first two minutes of the final 30 minute to keep Monmouth within two, at 9-7 before the Auggies began to pull away. Kaitlyn Korf turned in another solid effort in goal, stopping 15 shots as Augsburg held a 42-32 shot advantage.

The Scots take another weekend road trip April 6-7 when they travel to Aurora and Benedictine.
