Kara-Jade Gordon held to a single goal,
Kaelin Sommer and
Amanda Green took the scoring honors with two goals each. Trailing 4-0, Sommer and Green scored back-to-back goals in the first half to cut the margin to 4-2 with 4:21 left in the opening 30 minutes. Sommer's second goal again cut the deficit when the Scots fell behind 6-3 early in the second half, the senior netted an unassisted goal to pull Monmouth within 6-4. The Scots would get no closer as the Knights countered with three unanswered goals and iced the game with two insurance tallies in the final four minutes.
