Monmouth stayed within striking distance of Augustana until the final half when the Vikings began to pull away to hang an 18-8 loss on the Scots.
 
Kara-Jade Gordon and Amanda Green netted back-to-back first half goals to break the ice for the Scots, pulling them within four at 7-3. Gordon netted another just before the half as Monmouth entered the break down 10-4. Kaelin Sommer and Gordon then combined on back-to-back scores in the second half, but would get no closer than 13-6 at the 22:26 mark.
 
The Scots head to Wartburg and Augsburg Saturday and Sunday as part of their six-game road trip.
