Monmouth opened the season 4-0 for the first time since 1974 with Sunday's 78-56 win at the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

The Scots, which used 15 players in the game, led for all but 35 seconds and raced out to a 12-point lead at 16-4 just six minutes into the contest. The Raiders responded, tying the game at 24-24 with 7:26 left in the first half before Monmouth raced ahead again.

A 3-pointer from
Jake Rueter sparked a 20-3 run in the final minutes of the first half as Monmouth cruised into halftime with a 44-27 lead.
Will Carius and
Dee Hyler hit the first six points for the Scots to open the second half on their way to 22 and 12 point afternoons, respectively. A pair of
Jonathan Oradiegwu free throws gave the Scots' their first 20-point lead of the afternoon at 58-37 midway through the second half. Monmouth kept that margin for most of the remainder of the game to notch their fourth win in as many games.
