Monmouth had one goal called back and gained no ground on the top three in the Midwest Conference after rival Knox clipped the Scots 1-0 Wednesday at Peacock Memorial Athletic Park.

Following a Scots' would-be goal nullified by an offsides call, the Prairie Fire responded with a goal in the 49
th minute for the only scoring in the game. Knox held a 12-7 shot advantage and found the one only to reach the net to keep the Scots in fourth place in the MWC with six points.
