Monmouth held Beloit to just 16 points in each half on their way to a 67-32 win at Glennie Gym Saturday afternoon.

The Scots hit 11 of 13 shots in the first quarter and led from start-to-finish to maintain their grip on a share of the top spot in the Midwest Conference. Monmouth raced out to a 16-2 lead in the first five minutes of the game, making their first seven shots and never looked back. After taking a 36-16 halftime lead, the Scots kept the lead at 20 through the third period and increased the margin in the final minutes of the game.

Becca Gallis went 4-for-5 from 3-point range to lead all scorers with 25 points.
Shayne Smith added 13 and freshman
Jordan Kintigh came off the bench to dial in 10.
Allie Meyers narrowly missed a double-double, pulling down 15 rebounds and going 4-for-5 from the floor for eight points.
