Monmouth peppered Beloit's goalkeeper in the second half, but the Scots came up on the short end of a 2-0 score Sunday at Peacock Park.
 
Beloit took a 2-0 lead in the first half on goals from Midori Tanada and Candace Cunningham in the first 20 minutes before the Scots ramped up the offensive threats in the second half. Monmouth put 11 of their 14 second half shots on goal, but he Bucs' keeper was up to the task as the Scots were shut out for just the second time this season.
 
The Scots are off until Oct. 9 when they host Illinois College to wrap up a four-game home stand.
