Monmouth and Central played even through the first 45 minutes before the Dutch scored a flurry of goals to defeat the Scots Tuesday at Peacock Park 4-1.

The Dutch scored first on a one-on-one for a 1-0 lead in the 31
st minute, but the Scots had a quick answer. Just two minutes later,
Devin Cross headed in a corner kick off the foot of
Taylor Coffman to knot the game at 1-1. Central had a one-shot advantage at the intermission but increased their output in the second half, eventually outshooting the Scots 22-15 and placing 10 shots on goal. Tied through the 62
nd minute, the Dutch unleashed three goals in a 15 minute span to put the game away.

The Scots resume Midwest Conference play this weekend hosting St. Norbert Saturday and Beloit on Sunday. Both games are slated for 1:30 p.m. starts.
