Makayla Shaw picked up two assists on te first and last goals of the game as Monmouth rolled to a 6-0 blanking of Rockford Sunday afternoon.

Shaw fed Kara-Jade Gordon for the game's first goal in the eighth minute - the only goal the Scots would need on the day. Jacie Reis followed Gordon's goal just four minutes later and Jordyn Gosell added a third, two minutes after Reis as Monmouth took a 3-0 advantage in the first 14 minutes and were never threatened. A Hannah Flaherty unassisted goal came in the 20th minute, 15 minutes before Bre Stumbo tallied her first of two goals. Shaw assisted on Stumbo's final goal in the 71st minute.

Monmouth out-shot Rockford 27-1, placing 15 of their shots on goal and giving freshman Quinn Cutler her first college win.

The Scots open Midwest Conference play Saturday in a 1:30 matchup at Cornell.
