Monmouth got back on the winning track Saturday afternoon at Peacock Park with a 6-2 win over Concordia Chicago to improve to 4-1 on the season, the program's best five-game start in program history.

The Scots jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead when
Lily Lindner hit
Jacie Reis for the first score less than 90 seconds into the game.
Shelby Sims added another 25 minutes later off a feed from
Erica Bossard as the Scots cruised into halftime with a 2-0 lead.

The Cougars cut the deficit in half, punching in a goal in the first minute of the second half.
Kara-Jade Gordon got that goal back in the 49
th minute, taking a
Payton Gosell feed and depositing it in the back of the net to give the Scots a 3-1 lead and earning Gordon her first game-winning goal this season. Concordia answered Gordon's goal just a minute later before the Scots scored two goals inside a three-minute span to open the lead. Gosdell netted the game's final goal in the last minute.

Kensey Arlt notched the win, making eight saves as the Cougars outshot the Scots 23-21. Gordon and Reis finished with two goat apiece. Monmouth travels to Rockford Sunday for a 2 p.m. contest.
