Monmouth fired off 44 shots en route to an 8-0 blanking of Blackburn in the season opener for both teams.
 
Taylor Coffman and Makayla Shaw each netted two goals as Monmouth was never threatened. Jacie Reis' goal in the ninth minute and Coffman's two scores were part of a four-goal barrage in an 11 minute span in the first half as the Scots played on the offensive end for most of the game. The Scots limited the Beavers to just a single shot.
