Kara-Jade Gordon netted two goals and assisted on another as Monmouth moved to 2-0 on the young season, avenging a narrow loss last year at Simpson by defeating the Storm 3-0 Sunday at Peacock Memorial Athletic Park.
 
Gordon fed Jacie Reis 15 minutes into the contest for Reis' second game-winning goal in as many games. Gordon then notched her first of two goals in the 33^rd minute and added the matches, final tally just two minutes into the second half. Two days after firing off 44 shots, the Scots launched 25 Sunday to outshoot the Storm 25-4. Kensey Arlt recorded a pair of saves for her second win in as many games.
 
Monmouth travels to Principia Saturday afternoon for a 3 p.m. contest.
