Box Score Monmouth rallied back from an early deficit with a fourth quarter flurry, but came up just short in a 14-7 season-ending loss to Benedictine University Saturday at April Zorn Memorial Stadium.

BU jumped on top with a 9-2 halftime lead, but Monmouth's defense and offense upped their game in the second half, holding the Eagles to just one, third quarter goal.
Thomas Van Alstine and
Braden Cross each netted two goals in a 4-0 Monmouth run in the third and fourth quarters to pull Monmouth within 10-6. Benedictine interrupted the run before
Jeff Knapp's first goal at the 3:23 mark kept it a four-goal margin. The Eagles countered with three goals in the final two minutes to fend off the Scots.

Chase Cranford turned aside 14 shots.
