Box Score Monmouth scored in the first minute on their way to a 4-2 halftime lead, but couldn't find the cage in the second half of a 7-4 loss at Dubuque.

Croy Seagren tallied the Scots' first goal just 20 seconds into the game before the Spartans countered with a pair of first period goals. The Scots used a Jeff Knapp hat trick to regain the lead with 2:43 left in the first half as Monmouth's defense held the Spartans at bay. Dubuque ramped up the offense in the second half, firing off 13 fourth quarter shots to surge to the win with three goals in the final frame.

The Scots return home to face the Milwaukee School of Engineering next Wednesday at 7 p.m.
