Amanda Green combined for 13 goals as Monmouth opened the season with a 16-6 win over Westminster at Monmouth's April Zorn Memorial Stadium.

The Scots got on the board quickly when Gordon notched the game's first goal in the first minute.
Tiana Cintron followed three minutes later and Green punched in her first goal just 10 seconds after Cintron's score. The Blue Jays rallied with a pair of unanswered goals to cut the margin to 3-2 before Gordon scored back-to-back goals to regain a two-goal advantage.

Leading 8-5 heading into the second half, the Scots held the Blue Jays to one early goal while scoring seven answered goals for the win in their season-opener.
Kaitlin Korf earned the win with five saves in her goalkeeping debut.

Monmouth outshot Westminster 41-14 and had a 21-10 advantage in ground balls.

The Scots open their road season Wednesday with a 7 p.m. match at Illinois Wesleyan.
