The Scots gained momentum as the sets advanced, but came up short in a 3-0 loss at Simpson Saturday to conclude a five-game road trip, their longest trip of the season.
 
After dropping the first set 25-14, the Scots closed the gap in Set 2, dropping a 25-18 decision. Monmouth did one better in the final set in a 25-19 loss.
 
Monmouth returns home to Tuesday to begin a four game home stand to wrap up the season.
