Box Score Monmouth held Knox to just one first half goal, but that was all the Prairie Fire needed to defeat the Scots 4-0 at Peacock Memorial Athletic Park.
 
After keeping the Fire at arm's length in the first 45 minutes the Fighting Scots were barraged with 20 second-half shots by Knox. The Fire increased their lead to two on a goal in the 47^th minute and then added two more late in the game.
 
Chase Stroud turned in a seven-save performance for the Scots who travel to Millikin on Wednesday for a 7:30 p.m. matchup before returning to Midwest Conference play next Saturday when they host Illinois College.
