Box Score Both ends of the field were clicking in Monmouth's 3-0 blanking of Eureka Wednesday night.

The Scots tied the school-record with 40 shots and held the Red Devils to just five attempts to notch their first win of the season. Monmouth got early help when Eureka scored an own goal in the seventh minute to give Monmouth an early 1-0 lead. Adam Stenzel added an insurance goal 20 minutes later as Monmouth raced out to a 2-0 halftime lead. Johnathon Spencer notched the final goal in the 57th minute as Monmouth's defense held Eureka in check allowing just five shots and only one in the second half.

Monmouth opens Midwest Conference play this weekend, hosting Ripon on Saturday and St. Norbert on Sunday.
