Box Score Monmouth scored on nearly half their free position shots, but fell at Wartburg 18-8.

Kara-Jade Gordon netted a team-high five goals, three on free position attempts, as she ripped a dozen shots at the Knights. Amanda Green connected with her own free position shot with 6:58 left in the first half as Monmouth scored three unanswered goals to trim a 5-0 deficit to 7-4.

Wartburg opened te gap after halftime, scoring 10 goals in he second 30 minutes to pull away.

The Scots entertain Cornell next Saturday in a 1 p.m. matchup at April Zorn Memorial Stadium.
