Box Score Taitum Priewe ended the season as he began it, with a hat trick, but the team outcome was different in a 12-6 season-ending loss at Benedictine.
Priewe debuted with a three-goal effort in the Scots program opening win in February but the Scots couldn't hold off the Eagles in late April. Benedictine jumped out to a 5-0 lead before Priewe found the back of the cage at teh 8:50 mark of the second quarter.
Thomas Van Alstine netted another Monmouth goal two minutes later as the Scots found themselves trailing 7-2 at the half.
The Scots put on a three-goal surge in the third period, led by Priewe's pair of goals before
Joe Incorvati netted his ninth goal of the season to pull Monmouth within a 9-5 margin. The Eagles then held the Scots to a single fourth quarter goal to hang on for the win.
Van Alstine edged Priewe for the Scots scoring lead in their first season, netting a team-high 21 goals, one more than Priewe.
