SCOTS SCORE FOUR, FIRST HALF GOALS, SLIP IN SECOND HALF

Box Score Monmouth erupted for four, first half goals - three by Kara-Jade Gordon in a 16-6 road loss at Concordia Chicago.

Gordon netted back-to-back goals in the first four minutes of the game to give the Scots a 2-1 lead. CUC countered with six unanswered scores to take a 9-4 halftime lead and kept the Scots at bay in the final 30 minutes.

The Scots' improved on their counters, clearing 13 of 19 attempts and scored on their only woman-up opportunity. Elizabeth Reasoner turned in a 13-save effort in goal for the Scots.

Monmouth returns home Wednesday to host Carroll in a 7 p.m. nonconference affair.
