Box Score Monmouth got goals from a season-high four women in their home program debut at April Zorn Memorial Stadium Saturday afternoon, but Illinois Tech came out ahead in handing the Scots a 19-5 loss.
 
Kara-Jade Gordon scored the Scots' first two goals and Amanda Green added another as Monmouth entered the half down 10-3. Jess Jablonski and Ashley Castellanos collected their first career goals in the second half before the Scarlet Hawks pulled away.
 
Playing in just her second college game in goal, sophomore 'keeper Rachael Leifheit logged 19 saves for the afternoon.
 
Monmouth returns to action August 15 with a road trip to Augustana.
