SCOTS LIMIT FALCONS' CHANCES IN THE SECOND HALF

Box Score Monmouth's defense clamped down in the second half of Sunday's 14-2 loss to Concordia (Wis.) allowing just three second half scores and limiting the Falcons to just eight shots over the final 30 minutes.

Offensively, Monmouth put 12 of their 14 shots on goal, but couldn't offset CUW's 30-shot day. The Falcons struck early, netting a goal in the first minute but Monmouth's Kara-Jade Gordon had an immediate answer, finding the back of the net a minute after the Falcons' first score. Concordia then went on a 10-goal outburst to pull away late in the first half.

Ashley Castellanos broke the Scots' scoring drought, netting an unassisted goal with 3:53 left in the opening 30 minutes.

The Scots travel to Concordia of Chicago next Saturday for a 1 p.m. contest.
