Box Score Monmouth's defense tightened and the offense found the net in the second half, but the Scots didn't have enough left to overcome a first half deficit, falling at Cornell 16-3.

Jerry Ivie broke the ice for the Scots after trailing 11-0 at the half. Ivie's goal came midway through the third quarter, one of two Monmouth scores in the frame. Goalkeeper Jason Kunath equaled his season-high with 19 saves in his 60 minutes in goal in hte Midwest Lacrosse Conference affair.

The Scots host the University of Dubuque next Tuesday in the final nonconference match of the season. Face off is set to begin at 5 p.m.
