Box Score Kara-Jade Gordon turned in her fifth multiple goal game in as many outings but the Scots fell on the road 18-3 to Augustana Wednesday night.

The veteran Vikings set the tone early against the first-year Scots, taking a 7-0 first half lead before Gordon notched her first goal. Monmouth's top scored made good on a free position shot to break the ice with just over 19 minutes left in the opening half. Gordon added her second goal just before halftime as Monmouth trailed 13-2 at the break and added her third late in the second half.

Elizabeth Reasoner returned to goal for the first time since an injury sidelined her two weeks ago and made four saves in the cage. Monmouth converted eight of their 13 clear attempts, bettering their season average by more than 10 percent.

The Scots have a doubleheader road trip on tap for this weekend, playing at Aurora on Saturday and then facing Benedictine Sunday.
