Box Score After concluding last week on a pair of road victories, the Scots fell at home to conference foe Cornell College 83-59.

The first half opened with stagnant Rams defense and stellar offense that left the Scots reeling. Cornell managed to shoot nearly 50% from the floor, 7-17 from behind the arc. Coupled by their stingy defense, forcing 17 Scots turnovers and 12 steals, gave the Rams a 47-8 lead heading into the break.

As they took the floor in the second half, the Scots managed to flip script from their first half offense woes. Outscoring Cornell 51-36 in the remaining two periods of play, the Fighting Scots freshmen helped ignite the run.

Rebecca Gallis poured in 11 points, including three-triples, and Freshman
Yvonne Ornelas added 11 of her own, including seven assists. The Scots leader in points for the game, Freshman
Jeni Crain, added 13 points.

The Scots concluded their 2016-17 season today with a record of 4-19 (MWC 4-14), finishing 2-1 down the stretch.
