Box Score Monmouth fought back, but could not rally enough to offset a cold first quarter which snowballed into a 72-49 loss to Coe.
 
The Scots opened the game 2-for-12 in the first quarter and began to warm in the second quarter, but found themselves trailing 41-23 at the half. The teams played nearly even in the second half, but Monmouth was not able to maintain their hot fourth quarter start when Shayne Smith opened with an old fashioned three and Keri Dodson drained a 3-pointer to cut the deficit to 15 at 58-43.
 
Dodson's 10 points led the Scots who will host Millikin Sunday in a 2 p.m. start at Glennie Gym.
