Monmouth broke open a close game with 8:16 left in the first half when Justin Aluya's bucket in the lane sparked a 16-2 run. The Scots kept the heat on in the second half and quickly responded when the Bucs cut the lead to single digits in the first five minutes. Paul Engo III Will Jones and Justin Betterton each scored inside to up the lead back to double digits as the Scots surged to a 20-point lead and were never threatened.
