Box Score Monmouth led for much of the first half before turnovers turned the tide in a 79-44 loss at Webster.

Tia Robertson broke the ice for the Scots, scoring the first bucket of the game as the teams traded the lead five times in the first 10 minutes. The Gorloks took the lead for good with a bucket late in the first quarter to take a 16-12 lead at the end of one. After hitting half their shots in the opening 10 minutes, Monmouth went cold in the second quarter, making just 3-of-11 as Webster heated up and converted Monmouth turnovers into 27 points to open up a 40-20 halftime margin.

Becca Gallis scored all of her 11 points in the second half to lead the Scots while Allie Meyers came off the bench to narrowly miss her first career double-double, scoring nine points while pulling down 10 rebounds.

The Scots jump back into Midwest Conference play Monday with a 7:30 p.m. contest at Illinois College.
