Box Score Monmouth never trailed Saturday in a 72-57 win over Lawrence at Glennie Gym.
 
The Scots jumped out to a 10-4 lead before the Vikings came back to knot the game at 13-all with less than a minute left in the opening quarter. Maddie Dohleman then gave Monmouth the lead after the first 10 minute with a bucket in the lane for two of her game-high 16 points as time expired in the opening frame.
 
Monmouth then nursed the lead, building their margin to as many as eight on Izy Todd's bucket early in the second period. The Vikings rallied, cutting the margin to oen at 26-25 with just over five minutes left in the half, but could not take the lead.
 
A 10-0 run early in the third quarter set the tone for the second half as Monmouth rolled out to a 53-42 lead and never looked back.
 
Monmouth makes their conference double-header road trip next weekend with visits to Ripon and St. Norbert.
