Box Score Monmouth couldn't overcome a pair of penalty kick goals in Sunday's 3-0 loss to Hanover.
 
The Scots kept the Panthers out of the net until the 29^th minute when Hanover broke the ice with their first of two penalty kicks. Monmouth blanked Hanover for the next 30 minutes, but the Panthers' second PK of the game in the 58^th minute added the insurance goal. A traditional goal in the 78^th minute then iced the game.
 
Monmouth returns home to open the Midwest Conference season with Cornell on Thursday. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
