Tia Robertson layup to put Monmouth up eight at 39-31 before Beloit began to chip away.
Fueled by Laura Panicali's 35 point performance, including the game tying shot in the paint with 10 seconds left in regulation, the Buccaneers would rally to force overtime.
Beloit would not trail in the extra five minutes, pushing their lead to nine and forcing five Monmouth turnovers before the final buzzer sounded.
The Scots move to 3-13 in Midwest Conference play and will head to Jacksonville, Ill., to take on the Illinois College Lady Blues in a midweek matchup next Wednesday before closing the season at home Saturday against Lawrence.
