Trailing 34-31 at the half, the Scots saw the deficit crow to 15 when the Prairie Fire put together a 9-2 run early in the second half.
Lamont Mitchell drained a 3-pointer on his way to a game-high 23 points to end the Fire's run and start the Scots' 14-3 run, cutting the margin to four at 61-57 with 7:39 to play.

Knox inched ahead by 10 on a bucket at the 3:10 mark but
Will Jones scored three of his 20 points on a three-ball to pull the Scots within 70-63. A pair of
Austin Holman free throws two minutes later made it a two possession game at 77-72 with 1:19 to play.

The Scots stayed within striking distance, making it a 79-75 game on a pair of Mitchell free throws before Knox iced the game with a pair of 'throws in the final 10 seconds.

Monmouth continues their road trip with a pair of games in Memphis where they'll meet the University of Chicago on Dec. 17 and Kalamazoo on the following day.
