Box Score For the second straight game, junior Maddie Dohleman posted a double-double, but a sluggish third quarter cost the Scots in an 83-51 loss at Augustana.

Monmouth fell behind in the first quarter before Rebecca Gallis' 3-pointer trimmed the deficit to five at 17-12 in the final seconds of the frame. The Vikings repsonded to open the second 10 mintues, building a 12 point lead before back-to-back buckets by Demi Johnson cut the margin back to single digits. Johnson - who posted all nine of her points in the second quarter - followed with a thre and another jumper to keep the Scots close.

Augustana got out of the gate quickly in the third period, opening with a 15-6 run. The Vikings slowly pulled away over the final 20 minutes to offset Dohleman's 15 points and 13 rebounds and Gallis' 11 point effort.

Monmouth will host Illinois College Tuesday for the Scots Midwest Conference and home opener.
