Box Score For much of the game, Monmouth entertained thoughts of a Midwet Conference Touranment berth, but an overtime goal at Illinois College ended the Scots' postseason chances.

Needing no worse than a tie at IC to set up Saturday's matchup with Grinnell that would determine their fate, the Scots took an early 1-0 lead on a Blueboy own goal in the fourth minute. The lead held up until the 42nd minute when IC slipped a shot into the Scots' net to knot the score at 1-1 heading into halftime.

Both defenses limited good scoring chances in the second half, sending the game into overtime still tied at 1-1 when a pair of Monmouth shots in the final minutes were blocked.

IC then ended the contest, scoring off a header in the 93rd minute.

Monmouth will wrap up the season hosting Grinnell Saturday at noon.
