Box Score Monmouth led for most of the game, but was denied a win after Lake Forest rallied in the final quarter to down the Scots 70-67 at Glennie Gym.

The Scots roared to a 14-point lead, on
Katie Houston's jumper with 37 seconds left in the third quarter before the Foresters stormed back. Lake Forest took advantage of a Monmouth scoring drought to open the final frame, outscoring the Scots 13-2 over the first four minutes. Monmouth stemmed the tide on a Houston bucket-and-one with 4:39 to play and nursed a narrow lead until the final minutes.

Trailing by two, Lake Forest's K.C. Stralka knotted the game at 66-66 with 1:10 to play. Monmouth regained the lead on their next possession after
Emily Watkins pulled down her 11
th offensive rebound and
Kelsey Walsberg hit a free throw for a 67-66 advantage.

Lake Forest countered with an outside jumper to claim a 68-67 lead with 22 seconds left. Following a Monmouth timeout and turn over, Michelle Ricolcol drained a pair of free throws putting the foresters up 70-67 with two seconds left.

The Scots had one last chance squashed when they were called for an offensive foul as time expired.

Tia Robertson led the Scots with 20 points, Walsberg added 19 and Houston chipped in with 17.
