Box Score Tia Robertson and Katie Houston each scored a double-double as Monmouth led nearly 39 minutes in a 77-70 win over Knox at Glennie Gym.
 
Robertson got things rolling for the Scots early, scoring 11 of the team's first 13 points to open the game as the Scots smothered the Fire in the first quarter. Robertson would wrap up the first half with 17 points and 9 rebounds.
 
The battle on the boards swung in favor of the Scots who dominated the glass at a 30-20 stint. The Prairie Fire struggled to get things going from behind the arc shooting just 8.3 percent.
 
Before the first half buzzer sounded, the Scots would open up a 19 point lead, 40-21.
 
Monmouth picked up where they left off out of the break. Houston drained a three to score the first points of the second half, finishing with a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds.
 
Robertson also continued her domination down low closing her night out with 21 points and 11 rebounds.
 
From deep, Kelsey Walsberg pitched in three-triples scoring 14 points off the bench.
 
The Scots owned the paint posting 16 more rebounds than the Prairie Fire and scoring 32 points in the paint.
 
Monmouth (4-13,3-9) will stay at home Saturday as the Foresters of Lake Forest College (9-7, 8-4) come to town for a rematch at 4 p.m.
